The Drug 50x Stronger Than Heroin
Salwan Georges, a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist for The Washington Post, talks to us about his most hard-hitting photographs documenting the United States’ deadly opioid epidemic. He also tells us about his time undercover in the Ivory Coast. His photographs expose the dark truth behind much of the chocolate consumed in the West. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, Salwan arrived in Detroit as a teenager in 2004. When he travelled to Ukraine, earlier this year, the brutal war triggered memories of his own experience of conflict back in Iraq.
